23rd July 2026

The morning and afternoon were both spent doing very very little with nothing particularly notable happening. It was mainly just one of those days where time passes and somehow you’ve achieved basically nothing, although I suppose not every single day needs to be some massive event.

The evening was much more interesting as I was working with St John Ambulance at Petworth Festival while listening to a David Bowie tribute act. The music was actually really good and it’s quite a nice way to spend an SJA shift when nothing too mental is happening. We did however treat an 80 year old lady after a conscious fall. Her temperature was originally 34.4°C which was obviously very low, although when we retook it later it had increased to 35.9°C. Definitely one of the more serious parts of the evening but thankfully she was conscious and being looked after.

Lewis drove me back afterwards and we spent the journey talking about my ex and why we broke up, mainly the slight issue that 17 is definitely far too young to be thinking about having kids. No
